The Wallace Agency expands capabilities to include public relations

The agency has hired account manager and public relations specialist, Jeff Miller.

ROANOKE, VA (August 21, 2002) – In the tradition of the company’s business philosophy, “Speak softly and carry a big idea,” The Wallace Agency (a Roanoke-based advertising firm) announces the addition of public relations to its line of value-added service offerings.

“Whether it’s a compelling media relations campaign, a strategically executed special event or major press announcement, our team of creative writers, designers and account executives can deliver the right news at the right time to the right audience,” explains Katie Wallace Wetherington, the agency’s president.

“And if it’s a big idea you’re after, not only can we deliver the goods, but we can also creatively package them in a way that makes them relevant and newsworthy in today’s over-crowded marketplace,” she continues.

“Quietly” leading the charge for the new public relations division is account manager and public relations specialist, Jeff Miller. Also a recent addition to the agency, Jeff brings a wealth of experience to The Wallace Agency. Before joining Wallace, he honed this experience at the New York City-based marketing communication firms Patrice Tanaka & Company, and Maloney & Fox, where he worked with well-known brands like Duracell, General Motors, Godiva Chocolatier, Midas, RadioShack, RCA and White Rain, among others. Jeff now shares what he learned in the trenches with clients in need of media relations, special event planning, crisis management, marketing strategy and other communications challenges.

“Jeff’s prior experience and public relations expertise are a welcome addition to the agency,” says Wallace. “His creative approach to finding marketing solutions for our clients meshes very well with our overall business philosophy,” she adds.

The Wallace Agency provides strategic marketing communications, advertising design and public relations services to clients from its studio at 106 Mountain Avenue in the historic Old Southwest section of Roanoke. Among the agency’s many clients are Advance Auto Parts, the Art Museum of Western Virginia, Building Specialists, Business Advisory Group, Carilion Health System, Hayes Seay Mattern & Mattern, Jefferson Center, Mountain Lake Hotel, Premier Transfer & Storage and Virginia Transformer Corporation.
