Wallace Agency team members speak at technology marketing seminar
ROANOKE, Va., February 7, 2002Sabrené Blevins and John Griessmayer, both of The Wallace Agency, recently served on the experts panel at Building a Marketing Plan for High Tech Companies, an educational seminar sponsored by the New Century Technology Council and Virginia Tech.
Blevins, the agencys new business and account manager, spoke on the role of the marketing communications plan and the importance of creating marketing materials that fit within a companys brand identity and strategy. Griessmayer, the agencys associate creative director and copywriter, used a client case study to demonstrate how a tight marketing strategy can create the foundation for more effective and more cost-effective campaigns. In the question-and-answer session that followed, Blevins and Griessmayer touched on subjects ranging from direct marketing to the differences in full-service advertising agencies, design shops and freelance help.
The seminar, which is part of a series designed to help technology entrepreneurs avoid common business pitfalls, also featured experts addressing trademark and intellectual property issues, product marketing and market focus and planning. About 30 small business representatives attended.
